August Hạ Ninh Mai (b.2003) is a writer, filmmaker, and photographer that explores the notion of memories, trauma, and community through their multicultural lens of the world. Born in Central Taiwan, they were raised in HCMC, Vietnam and Dallas, Texas, and completed primary education in the US before returning to Taiwan to get their BA in Storytelling and Multimedia. They are now studying their Master of Fine Arts in New Genres at University of Washington.
